Venue Name: Cedar Fork Community Center
Address Line 1: 1050 B Town Hall Drive

Event Description: Website: https://www.racereach.com/e/Jack-and-Jill-Ran-Up-the-Hill-5K
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/JackJillRanUptheHill5K
The name of this race a bit misleading since it is run on one of the flattest course in the Triangle with nary a hill in sight. The race starts and finishes at the Cedar Fork Community Center located at 1050 B Town Hall Drive in Morrisville. It is the same course used by the Run with Heart 5K in July.
In its third year last September, the event had a field of over 200 registered entrants. Christian Pigues led the field in 20:07 while Constance Kissling took the women’s title in 21:02. Kevin Hill set the men’s course record of 16:51 in 2011. Jordan Jenkins holds the women’s course mark of 17:53 set in 2012.
The morning begins with the 5K Race (officially timed) and the 5K Walk (no official times) starting at 8 am. The 1-mile fun run for kids ages 12 and younger begins at 9 am.
The entry fees for the 5K Run and 5K Walk are $30. After September 1, the fees increase to $35 up to and including race day. The fee for the one-mile is $10 with no late fee.
All those who register for either the 5K walk or the 5K run will receive a t-shirt – guaranteed if registered by September 1st. Additional shirts can be purchased for $10.
In the 5K race, awards will be given to the first three males overall, to the first three females overall, and to the first three finishers (both sexes) in the following age groups: 12-under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50-over..
Pre-registered runners can pick up their packets and late entrants can register on race day at the Cedar Fork Community Center beginning at 6:45 am.
All profits from the race will go to support the Jack and Jill Foundation (http://www.jackandjillraleigh.org) and Pretty in Pink whose mission is to provide financial assistance to uninsured or underinsured breast cancer patients with quality, life-saving medical treatment regardless of their ability to pay.
