We are blessed to have talented singers, groups, musicians and song writers in the state of North Carolina. This week my new segment from the Director’s Chair we get to know The Christian Angles a Stellar Award wining female Quartet Group out of Raleigh NC.
Christian Angles Biography
In 1999, out of Raleigh N.C. 3 friends formed the group The Christian Angels. A couple of weeks later other singers and musicians joined the group. This group travels across the country singing in many venues such as church conferences, gospel festivals, weddings and major gospel concerts. Their notable appearance on BET’S Bobby Jones in October 2010 was watched by over 500,000 viewers and brought a massive stir of anointing to viewers as that witnessed the group sing their soul wrenching song, “Praise Your Name.”
The group has shared the stage with gospel greats like Shirley Ceasar, Beverly Crawford, Dorothy Norwood, Mississippi Mass Choir, The Williams Brothers, The Canton Spirituals, Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC’s and Luther Barnes and the Redd Bud choir, J. Moss, the late Timothy Wright, and so many others. They have been recipients of awards from The N.C. Gospel Announcers’ Guild, Luther Barnes N.C. Fall Classic, and many more. The first cd released by the Christian Angels was in 2000, self titled “The Christian Angels” and their latest cd titled “Bring it to the Altar” allowed the group to sign a major recording contract with 4WINDS /Malaco Music group in February of 2009.
This project is making great reviews by many radio announcers across the country and empowering the group with many endeavors. With this came greater heights when the group was nominated for three 2011 Stellar Awards, Traditional Group-Duo, Quartet of Year, and Traditional female Vocalist of the Year (Fredericka Faison- lead singer).
The Christian Angels earned and was honored with The 2011 Stellar Award for Quartet of the Year however; the most inspiring experience for the group has been the prayers of ancestor’s labors transpiring and acknowledgement from fans who have shared many testimonies during or after concerts of how this song ministry has blessed their lives. The Christian Angels are so grateful to God and all that is required of them and they are also humbled to the many members who help create the sound and craft the gift during their season.
The energy exemplified by these ladies on the stage expresses their true love for praise and worship and the belting of singing proves their gift of song ministry. James 4:10 declares “he that humbles himself shall be lifted up” and this is the picture you will see each time you witness this Anointed group!
