You may remember a few years ago, one of the decades most gruesome murders which involved a 5 year old little girl. In 2009, Shaniya Davis was given to Mario Andretti McNeill from Fayetteville, by her mother to settle a drug debt. Reports say she was raped and murdered and then dumped in the woods.
McNeill could face the death penalty if convicted. Shaniya Davis’ mother is also in jail and could face life in prison for her role in her daughter’s death.
Jury selection for McNeill case will begin today and is expected to last about a week.
