Richard Smallwood is definately a pioneer in Gospel Music and has just launched his 15th project, Promises, which debuted #1 on Billboard’s Gospel charts.
This is Smallwood’s first CD since the passing of his mother in 2005, who was her sons biggest fan. Smallwood does it again with his signature classical sound meeshing with the rthyms and melodies of gospel music. This CD is also the first project since his friend and mentor Walter Hawkins passed away last year, and in tribute to Hawkins, Smallwood reworked “Is There Any Way?” on this CD.
